Job Purpose:

Business Development role responsible for translating vendor/technology growth plans internally and to drive them in specific strategic segments. Aligned with marketing on MDF and with the wider sales organisation on specialised opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Sales

    Microsoft Consumer Development role in different LOB's (Xbox, Surface, Digital, Accessories)

    Program & Promo eligibility and enrollment

    Portfolio expansion at DMP & breadth partners (quick opportunity qualification)

    Driving B2B2C opportunities within closed group opportunities

    Grow profitable market share by executing the Business Unit strategy in full alignment under some supervision

    Negotiation of key tenders and large deals with full knowledge of assigned Vendor’s product / service line

    Take solution and service offerings to market including TaaS

    Relationship and engagement with Microsoft and stakeholders to ensure Tech Data is seen as the “Trusted Advisor”
     

  • Marketing

    Quarterly marketing planning for all categories (with and for all DMP and Breadth partners)

    Ensure management and execution of issued Marketing PO’s with agreed activities

    Weekly/monthly reporting of agreed marketing KPI’s

    Ensure visibility of programs and promotions in marketing efforts

    Readiness on product portfolio both instore and online (ensure usage of all available assets)

    Setup portfolio trainings with selected DMPs to drive broader knowledge adoption
     

  • Operations

    Weekly reporting of sales progress and target attainment by category

    Driving complete POE capturing for marketing POs, programs and promos

    Ensuring timely claims for DMP promotions & programs

    Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools to ensure best in class business continuity

    Builds a successful proposal by gathering information from the customer and planning an effective approach that demonstrates an understanding of requirements

    Enable and help the sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share

    Maintains Full knowledge of Microsoft’s product / service line

    Clear understanding of Tech Data's core value proposition and demonstrates ability to communicate with context to customer requirements

  • Minimal of 3-5 years of proven consumer/retail Marketing (digital) experience

  • (Retail) Sales experience

  • Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling

  • Strategic business planning experience with strong operational cadence

  • Experience of working within a matrix structure

  • Fluent in English
