Your role would be to work with customers to architect and design their cloud architecture, ensuring that their requirements for security, high-availability and disaster recovery are met. You will also be involved in the hands-on provisioning of cloud environments and provide assistance to customers migrating their workloads and applications. You will be at the forefront of strategic cloud technology and business modernisation discussions. As a Platform Architect you will be part of our Database & Platform team in The Netherlands located in Utrecht. **What You'll Do** The Database & Platform team is responsible for designing, developing and supporting infrastructure cloud solutions leveraging the latest versions of Oracle IaaS and PaaS services and Oracle on-premise hardware and software. In your role you as a Platform Architect you will : + Work on client-billable and pre-sales assignments to architect the customer specific cloud infrastructure + Work with Oracle Consulting sales and delivery colleagues to position and deliver the right technology and consulting services to maximize customer's success in the most effective and efficient manner + Lead our large customers through all phases of the implementation project lifecycle + Guide business stakeholders through workshops and help them defining solutions that meet their objectives - be the advocate for their business and technology needs + Help us become the number one cloud company in the world through their enthusiasm, knowledge, and customer-centricity We are looking for someone who: + Has a deep passion for technology, a love of learning new things and helping customers succeed + Is comfortable operating in a fast paced evolving environment + Posesses strong critical thinking and communication skills + Has a proven track record of success developing and deploying creative technical solutions to business problems for or within large enterprise organizations + Is able to inspire, engage and influence customers at Sr IT/LOB/C-Level **Job Requirements** + Experience designing and deploying computing infrastructure solutions that span a variety of technologies + Knowledge of SDLC and IT frameworks like TOGAF, DevOps and Agile + Experience with infrastructure architectural design: compute, storage and network design concepts, bare metal, hypervisors; high availability and disaster recovery, and application containers + Operations experience, reporting, management & compliance, capacity planning, virtualization, provisioning automation using toold like Terraform, Ansible, Docker etc. + Certification for OCI at Archtitect Associate/Professional level or comparable AWS or Azure certifications are appreciated + Knowledge of Oracle Technology like WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Database and/or Applications like E-Business Suite, Peoplesoft, JD-Edwards, or Siebel is appreciated + Knowledge of Oracle systems like Exadata, ODA, PCA, ZFS, and/or ZDRLA is appreciated + Fluent in Dutch and English; French would be a plus **Apply Now** **Create the future with us. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer's objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack. 8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
