Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Accountant for a permanent position based in Brussels.
Our client is a fast growing company active in the chemical sector.
As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and publish each month the financial reporting (HFM);
- Monthly reporting for Group consolidation must respect IFRS and Group accounting rules;
- Check VAT compliance for:
- sale invoicing flow;
- stock movement to warehouse;
- purchasing of raw material (ethylene/salt/KCL/..) export and Europe purchase;
- Manage all closing process in SAP and all manual corrections in the reporting tool (smartviewfile - excel reporting tool to upload in HFM);
- answer all questions from auditors, Corporate and controlling;
- Ensure current correctness of financial results in SAP and adjust if needed (accrual, provisions , …);
- Submit monthly reporting (smartviewfile and HFM) without delay on day +5;
- Complete all appendix in the reporting tool Hyperion HFM;
- Clean invoices accrued;
- Manage the stock movement of IEL;
- Organize the intercompany matching each month and post deviation;
- Post all "IFRS 16" leasing transaction;
- Organize the intermediate procedures for IEL;
- Manage the final audit process (analytical review of the balance sheet and the profit and loss accounts with the external auditors, provide all explanations and ensure that we respect the deadlines);
- Ensure coordination between external auditors and other departments (supply chain for stock valuation and physical stock count, procurement and commercial team);
- Send information to UK team for statutory purpose and consolidation.
The required profile for the Senior Accountant position:
- Master in Finance;
- 10 year of experience;
- SAP - Module FI/SD/MM/CO;
- VAT expertise (Export exemption- EU Intra-community exemption - Intrastat);
- Expert in Excel;
- IFRS;
- Language : Fluent : French & English;
- (Dutch - deposit of VAT NL declaration in Dutch for IEL 1x/month);
- Deadline-Oriented;
- Demonstrate leadership skills , proactivity & anticipation;
- Team player - Coordination with all the Belgium Finance team (10 FTE);
- Communicate effectively ( written and oral).
